Hey, Mary Ann was simply "and the rest" during the early seasons of the show, so you couldn't be alone in that.

One of the hazards in writing quickly... I likely switched 6th grade and 6 years old in my mind. For now we'll just have to assume they had recently watched a filmstrip in class on tribes who eat bugs for protein and wanted to see a practical test. Or I could always edit it.
> I also enjoyed the setting of the stage for the entire "what it means to be human" argument that's so important in Hallie's stories. It certainly makes sense for it to be Vizh to bring it up, and shows one of the reasons why she's so fond of him. Besides his suave demeanor around the ladies, that is.
