Living at a military base she could have either learned from one of the soldiers or from watching music videos.
> I still think Anna's defined too much by what others supposedly *can't* do (and the "Robots are seldom awkward" assessment seems to fly in the face of many Hallie and Tandi scenes in the past)... but I realize this will probably always be an issue with me, as Anna is defined as being "more like a human" than robots, and most of what I've written for the PV has been focused on diminishing the differences between artificial minds and human ones to begin with.

Technically in the context Anna used she's right. Robots are usually built for a purpose and aren't at all skittish or awkward about doing their intended job. The way Anna had to be build she was a "blank", and had to be trained into everything like a human - including the awkwardness and uncertainty. She is a little jealous that robots don't seem to suffer through that. But they'd be jealous at how flexible she is.
Eventually you'll notice little things robots aren't accustomed to that Anna feels like fear, sometimes irrational fear fueled by an experience.
