Is one of the things that is changing Artemis' role in the PV? A Junior with a somewhat Dark Knight view of her role might be interesting. Perhaps even a brief crossover with him?

> Glory elaborated, "Yes. The man outside has a M82 Barrett Special Application Sniper Rifle with Raufoss Mk 12 anti-material ammunition, where the guards inside are carrying Franchi SPAS 15 twelve gauge shotguns with HK MP 7 Personal Defense Weapons. They also have kevlar vests, night vision goggles."

> "Like I said: heavy ordnance," Artemis replied grumpily.

Glory does a great job of one-upmanship without the slightest bit of arrogance. A nice bit of characterization. You have a marvelous invented character there, and some day we have to have an arc for her.

> The silouette of Glory, tail wagging triumphantly, stood on the roof. Artemis greeted the sight with a mixture of relief and pique:
>
> "That'll do, mutt," she grunted as she bolted across the street to help with the clean up.

Someone once said that the true measure of a character's humanity is how she treats her dog. On the one hand, Artemis is verging on ingratitude and spite. On the other, she's treating Glory more like an equal than as a dog that one has to encourage and reward. I wonder how Glory interprets this?

> Glory recognized the name, "Augustus Waddell? The Kiwi of Crime?"

Kiwi of Crime? Touche, an excellent metaphor for the Penguin. And his chief lieutenants are the Dodo and the Moa?

> The collie understood the accusation behind the stare, "I am sorry I was chosen to receive super powers over you."
>
> "Are you? Really?" Charlotte chided, raising her eyebrow incredulously.
>
> "Perhaps sorry is not the correct term," Glory admitted, "I enjoy what I am and what I can do; how I can help people."

Again, you express Glory's untainted character in few words but just the right ones. "Perhaps sorry . . ." is very perceptive.

> "Yes," Glory cast a look up, "And now that I have told you I still don't know what to do."

I've been wondering when and for what you were going to use the Epitome amnesia revelation. Now all I have to do is wait for the counter-plot, where we find something essential in the Idiom's actions.

> Next: Fleabot gets stung, leading to the exchange of opinions among the women in Epitome's life... with spectacular results!

Epitome has almost as many romantic attachments as Vizh by now. Is that why you're bringing in Fleabot, as an expert observer? Or just his usual stir-up-the-pot cracks?

Thanks again for a fun series.
