> That's right; not just Sarah Jane Smith, but modern-day Sarah Jane Smith (seen here with the star poet from Arcateen V, as seen in "Invasion of the Bane").

You get both in one package?

> Granted, the face seems slightly ... off (although that might simply be the angle of the photo), but it's actually much better than I would have expected, considering how poorly so many action figure sculpts tend to treat characters of Sarah Jane's (a) age and (b) gender.

I've never seen an action figure of a real person that looks remotely like them. At least this one looks like her.

> [Grumpy Old Man] Why, back in MY day, we didn't have action figures of female characters that were HOT! Oh, sure, you young'uns who grew up in the '90s had the Harley Quinn action figure from the Paul Dini and Bruce Timm Batman animated series, but back when I was a kid, all the way into the ancient mists of the '80s, the closest you could come to decent female action figures were either Scarlett from G.I. Joe and the Baroness from Cobra, which sacrificed attractiveness for poseability, or Teela and Evil-Lyn from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which sacrificed poseability for attractiveness! Why would my male action figures want to fight with each other to win the affections of female action figures who either had helmet-hair and manlike hips and torsos, or else couldn't stand up on their own? [/Grumpy Old Man]

When I was a kid we didn't play with dolls.

And I would like it known that I didn't buy *any* of the Sailor Moon dolls currently in my possession.

> Mostly, though, I am happy because Action Figure Sarah Jane looks enough like real-life Sarah Jane that (even though I am still too poor to afford the Season 3 DVD box set of Doctor Who just yet) I want to buy her and Action Figure Tenth Doctor, so that I can make them have Hot Action Figure Sex with each other, and when people walk in on me making my Tenth Doctor and Sarah Jane action figures have sex, I can act like Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet in Spaceballs ...

That movie was hilarious.

As is always the case with my writing, please feel free to comment. I welcome both positive and negative criticism of my work, although I cannot promise to enjoy the negative.
