> Well! I never expected you to kill her so that was quite a shock. I even got upset with you.

I didn't want to upset you. I hope you realised by the end that Pretty Bird's demise was no more permanent than the several times Tricky has been "dead".

> But as I continued I saw that was the perfect way to cause Tricky to bow out like I wanted him to.

I felt it would take something fairly major to have Tricky pack up and leave the Legion, some epic choice. He was unlikely to just grab Deana and jump into a different time on a whim, leaving his buddies to face future dangers without him, walking out on the fight - unless he had reason to make some major choice.

> AG went out very well too. Heroic to the end.

I tried to pare down to the key elements of his character - protector, family man, hero - and show them in his last outing.

> As soon as I can, I'll pen their endings. I already have a way to clean up Tricky. Thank you for going with my ideas on that. Its where he would be most happy.

I thought so too.

> I need to think on AG's happiness. I wish I had spent more time in the last several years truly writing him well, instead of neglecting him. I suppose my poster character sacrificed his stories so that I could begin my long journey as a writer. I hope it was worth it. I hope I succeed.

I also feel that AG never got the fair shake he deserved. Maybe I should have used him more in UT.

> Regardless, he deserves a nice scene. Something final.

Proceed.

> As for my plans. I've got a couple story ideas for new characters. One day I'll get them penned and start contributing more. Life with this new job is hectic. We saved the house and now we're just trying to keep it saved. Between family, work and my book, time is very limited. I'll keep posting and try to squeeze time in to contribute more than just Caption, but it'll be slow coming.

I'm worried that the longer you leave it to introduce a character you feel invested in the more you'll drift away from the Parodyverse.

> I think that's why I asked Ian to conclude my membership in the Legion. It's not fair for my heroes to take up room when their creator is only half here.

I've cleaned house a fair bit in my time. I feel like the maid.

> Do I want on the new teams? No. Will I want to be on the team some day in the future? Probably but never with AG or Tricky. They are gone. I'm through writing knock offs. I want to try my own ideas.

All comics characters are derivative in some way or other, of course. The secret is in blending the elements together in ways that haven't been seen. It's like cooking - there are no new ingredients, only new recepies.

Did you receive an e-mail from me on this subject, by the way?

> Anyway, its been an honor being part of the team. I'm still not going anywhere and I hope to get something out for you to enjoy. You people deserve it.

Hurry up with the new material.
