Quote: Quote: Not everyone is blown up. spiffy isn't blown up yet.Quote: He is now! Along with everyone else nearby.Fortunately even with many of the cast blown up, time-lost, dimension-lost, revoked, and otherwise out of it there is still a strong bench to call upon. For example, I'm halfway through the Caphan chapter now. Quote: Quote: You'll need to structure carefully to include some plot meat inside the set-up phase.Quote: It has a lot of mini-stories clustered together that build to a much bigger story. It's also a lot of characters to handle, which is why it's like that. That's a wise move. It might also suggest building an audience with monthly or bomonthly novellas in the 20k range that assemble later into a big thick volume. Quote: Quote: Quote: On the new stuff: Quote: Quote: The presence of Xander most likely means that he probably meant to do that, and the Lair Legion is fine.Quote: Quote: To which I have to say, noted.Quote: I saw a story (don't remember if it was a book or movie) similar to what I was thinking of, but it was a while ago. Most of the story had to do with people vanishing and the world being gradually destroyed, and there was this building fear of it getting closer, and the characters becoming more frightened about being destroyed along with the world.Quote: As it turned out at the end, the characters were in the wrong world to start with, which is why it was being destroyed. When they finally met their "end", they were sent to the proper world, and that's when they figured out what was going on, and that everything was just fine there.Nice twist. It will hopefully be pretty obvious what's happened when the UT reveal comes. I've tried to play fair. | |||||||
