Quote: There we go! I get why that's not the kind of call Ian would want to make with someone else's characters, and that secondary characters paired up with paired up with other secondary characters that aren't supported by a poster any more gets kind of self-serving.
We're had a few female characters who may be gay or bi - plus the Caphans, of course - and some of CSFB's cast. LL liason Amber St Clare was probably the first to be referenced as lesbian. Shep (character and poster) was pretty open about having tried girls but generally preferring boys. I can't think of any male characters who are gay, probably because of the most-male-protagonists-are-poster-characters thing.
Another factor in this is that at the time the Parodyverse began in the 90s there were almost no gay comic book characters (I think Northstar was about it) and so the parody versions ported here were default straight also. And when others, including me, began writing posters' characters we all tended to assume a hetronormative default, so even if a poster was gay and might have avoided their character's hetero entanglements, nobody felt able to say anything about it and so their characters were portrayed thereafter as straight.
Quote: For the record, I have no objection to any character of mine showing bi or same sex tendencies, but I realize that mine are mostly not of an age or at a place in their lives for trying out new romances.
Noted.

...for the record, Cody is.
Not that he puts it out there.
He may turn for Amy...I think it's the grease and overalls.
Probably hasn't come up because no one who knows (Al B. and the EEE crew) have any issue with it, and he hasn't really appeared all that much in a romantic situation.
I figure Kara is from far enough in the future that these things aren't issues at all, and fooling around with either sex is fine in her mind for a bit of fun - but she leans to the straight side of the equation for anything serious.
So there's hope for Chronic yet!
