Quote: Excellent use of Harlagaz... he's really coming into his own. It's hard to pull off nobility with that keg-hat on, but I'll be damned if he didn't come close. (Well, technically he's the damned one, but still.). Real shame about Alpha Male and Little Buttie, and I'm going to assume that the other guy who exploded was mean to puppies.
Gaz doffed the Quaffing Helm to beat Alpha Dude with it. Later it may date the Sorting Hat.
Quote: I liked the talk with Vespiir, and her little misdirect with Privilege... that one is a nasty piece of work, but then she seems to have not worked out the narrative necessity of not being around to get a comeuppance.
Let us hope that may be rectified.
Quote: Looking forward to what Kerry's chapter will bring!
Really? Some people never learn.

Quote: Treachery does form a part of the curriculum. The nearest the Juniors got was CSFB!'s fight-before-you-team-up protocols talk.
Quote: Thankfully we don't offer modern-day event cross-over training. The best lesson from those is simply to skip those issues, or to check the reviews before buying a ticket.
Hey, we had a shared universe before it became fashionable! Which is why ours is a little worn.

Quote: It's still not clear how vampires can spawn children, but since it doesn't bother bestselling novelists why should we fret?
Quote: I want to say that Hugh Jackman "Van Helsing" film actually dealt with that, complete with werewolves being necessary somehow, but then I go right back to my brain refusing to access that part of my memories.
I'm pretty sure it involves early CGI.

Quote: I'm already pretty sure my characters have been having conversations around a television about how there is no way that Roni Y. Avis is serious about wanting to be President, and how nobody would really vote for him anyway.
Ouch.
I'm reminded that one unfinished plotline I have is the next GMY mayoral election; but that would require me to do some serious catching up on my Boss Deadeyes story.

You do like your invincible, sadistic villains for your readers to truly hate, and here you've stacked them up three levels deep. On the plus side, that infinite number of attempts on our heroes mean that the villains can potentially suffer endlessly themselves. Maybe they should ask if they are there to torment the Juniors or if the Juniors are there to make things truly hell for them.
Okay probably the first one, but it doesn't seem to have worked out well for them.
I like the way that you're using the change in perspectives in this one, and how it shows a certain maturity setting in on each of the characters in turn. I was impressed with Kerry's ability to push through the current crisis. You had better give these kids a happy resolution... Admittedly, the fact that the dead one's perspective is next probably suggests good things there.
