Reply Subj: Now it's the Pulp Factory Awards Posted: Sat Mar 12, 2016 at 04:58:34 pm EST (Viewed 7 times) | |||||||
As I mentioned before, there are two annual sets of awards out there in "pulp fiction" territory. This is the second of them. I've won a couple of these in the past. The trophies are nice, although this year I gather they're getting redesigned. Although I missed a Best Novel nomination (despite, or possibly because of, releasing three novels in 2015), two anthologies I contributed to got Best Anthology nominations, LEGENDS OF NEW PULP FICTION and SHERLOCK HOLMES CONSULTING DETECTIVE vol 7. My story for the latter of those also got a nomination for Best Short Story. There's a podcast about the awards that I'm told discusses the works and creators (I haven't listened to it yet) online and downloadable at http://zone4podcast.com/airship-27-podcast-13-pulp-factory-awards/ Quote: BALLOT FOR PULP FACTORY AWARDS OFFICIALLY RELEASED; VOTING NOW OPEN UNTIL 3/15 AWARDS TO BE GIVEN OUT AT WINDY CITY PULP & PAPERQuote: Lombard, Illinois – February 21, 2016Quote: With April’s Windy City Pulp and Paper approaching fast, the ballot for the 2016 Pulp Factory Awards – to be handed out at the conference – has just opened up for voting by the reading public.Quote: (The ballot can be found online at http://bit.ly/2016PFAwardBallot )Quote: Voters have until Tuesday, March 15th to select one nominee in several categories.
