Hey Yo! Merry Christmas to you! I will definitely have to dig around and see if I can find something appropriate to repost... It has been many years since that particular old chestnut has seen the light of day. Yes, given a choice I would have picked a Vision series that was much more directly character driven and much less "high concept", with the Vision really just striving to make sense out of his life at this point. I see him as someone who wants to relate to humanity and yet he knows that he has such a gulf of unrelatable stuff isolating him from it... everything from his history to his job to his very body keeps him from fitting in with nearly anyone. (Which of course was one of the reasons that he and Wanda clung to each other as much as they did.) This comic instead approaches all of that distance from humanity with him either ignoring or being largely oblivious to those differences, and thus doing a bizarre effort at playing house. Perhaps as we get an explanation for it all it will actually fit more with my own interpretations of the character... we will see. | |||||||
