Momiji is a character from the rather popular Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya. Like 12 other members of the story, he is cursed to turn into a creature from the chinese zodiac (in his case the rabbit) when certian conditions are met. He is one of my favourite characters in the series. The Chinese New Year starts towards the end of January or the end of December. It so happens that I was born in early February, and originaly thought I was born in the year of the Dragon. When reading Fruits Basket I discovered that the new year was late that year, so I was actually born at the end of the year of the Rabbit. As to the "Wet" part - Water was the ruling element at the time, hence "Wet Bunny". I mentioned that I was a Wet Bunny to the (chinese) guy who sits next to me at work. He responded by giving me my exact age. Well, almost - he was out by a year because I was born at the end of the year, not the start. | |||||||
