Reply Subj: I want to play the "Pre-existing Lair Legion" game I see Shrike started... Posted: Wed Dec 07, 2011 at 04:56:58 pm EST (Viewed 525 times)
Quote: I did a quick scan of the main page and saw Killer Shrike's thread on creating a Lair Legion of existing characters, so here is my stab at it.Quote: Who: Oolong Where: Dragon Ball Why He'd Fit: He is a talking pig who can shape shift for 5 minutes at a time. 'Nuff said. I'm unfamiliar with Dragon Ball but from your description it sounds like he would fit right in. Quote: Who: Astro Boy Where: Astro Boy Why He'd Fit: He brings an innocent world outlook to the group, which would play well against other more cynical members. He is also a link to technology-based stories, as well as the robots-rights angle that we've played with a lot. Plus he has a machine gun that extends out from his ass. He's a bit of Japanimation I have heard of. Quote: Who: Captain Hammer Where: Dr. Evil's Sing-Along-Blog Why He'd Fit: Captain Hammer would bring a lot of internal friction to the group, since he's a self-serving jerk. I'm not as big a fan of Fillion, or Whedon for that matter, as some are, but its always good to have a Quicksilver/Moondragon/US Agent type around to stir things up. Quote: Who: Striperella Where: Striperella Why: I figure having a Stan Lee created character on the team would add a touch of class. Plus Vizh is more likely to draw the team now. (I set the Search Filter to "Strict" before I searched for an image at work!) If we're using superheroes portrayed by Pam Anderson, I say go with Barb Wire. Quote: Who: She-Ra Where: She-Ra, Princess of Power Why She'd Fit: I really like the idea of the team powerhouse being a female, plus she also brings the realm of magic as a story possibility (as does Sleeping Beauty I suppose). She's also my pick for field leader. Nice choice., though I'm unclear about the Sleeping Beauty reference. Quote: Who: Scott Pilgrim Where: Scott Pilgrim Why He'd Fit: Having a character who lives in a video game world as Scott does would open a lot of story possibility, and cool visuals for Vizh to draw. Saw the movie, but am unfamiliar with the comic. He'd be an interesting fit. Quote: Who: Penny Where: Inspector Gadget Why: I like the idea of the team leader being the team leader without the team actually realizing she is the team leader. Penny is a master at guiding her uncle to where he needs to be and getting him to do what he needs to do, without him ever realizing it or anyone else for that matter. I have to confess, watching those cartoons I hated Penny and that damn dog. It was Scrappy level hatred, but she gave off the same vibe.
