Been thinking for awhile now I should poke my head in and say hi.

Bit of an update, Hatbaby should be born any day now; at the absolute latest we have an induction scheduled for Monday, so for sure I'll be a daddy by then. The nursery is all done up, complete with an Itsy Bitsy Spider-Man http://www.amazon.com/Itsy-Bitsy-Interactive-Spider-Man-Plush/dp/B000G16WKU though we didn't pay nearly as much as Amazon wants for it! Not sure if we're having a boy or a girl, and really as long as it's healthy that's all I ask for.

I did want to throw this out here ahead of time, not so much as permission but more of a heads up so you don't think this is weird. If we have a boy, the name we've chosen is Griffin. Sarah has no idea I stole the idea from a PV character, but we were throwing around names and I thought I'd put it out there to see what she thought, and she actually liked it! I've always liked the name too so I guess I'll have to start making royalty cheques out to Vizh if we have a boy.

I'm also interviewing for a new job in early May. A one year term position has opened up with Sport Manitoba, the provincial body for amateur sport in the province. The previous person in the position recommended me for the job, and I've been wanting to get out of recreation and into sport for a couple of years now, so it seemed like a good opportunity. Pay will probably be more but so will the commute (40 minutes instead of my current 10-15), but it's a good opportunity for me. So I'm looking at taking the plunge and hoping things work out when the term is up.

How's everyone doing around these parts?

Be sure to let us know when your family officially expands! I'm a big fan of the name Griffin, so obviously I fully endorse the choice. I'm pretty sure I'm to late to file the trademark paperwork on that one anyway.

Feel free to stop only on those sleepless nights you apparently have coming up! It's always good to hear from you.
