Subj: You have people to do that for you now. Especially Flapjack's locker.

Reply Subj: So I should hold off on cleaning out their lockers?

A fun chapter of resurrections, starting with the tentacled critter in the jail with no door. Those things from before time tend to be trouble. Perhaps it should hit the snooze button, roll over and go back to eternally lying for a few millennia.

That's really the difference between tenatacle-headed creatures from before time and you and me.

So we meet the Celestian Madonna! Did she spend time as a "bar girl" anywhere? Hopefully Liu Xi can get her body back soon. I'm thinking that if Vinnie isn't as crispy as he seemed, then he'd be all for it.

At the moment the Earth Maiden's only about Magweed's age, so let's say she's not done the bar-girl thing yet.

And yes, I imagine Vinnie would generally prefer Liu Xi corporeal.

Hey, Bethany is awake! When did she go I to this coma, again? I was surprised she knew about Citizen Z being Zemo, but then I was thinking her coma was the same one from when she blew up Hallie's database and Z's identity still wasn't known then. Regardless, Bry should have an interesting conversation coming, and I'm really curious as to where Laurie has gone.

Bethany went into a coma after her horrible injuries during the explosion in Hallie's datacore where the robot refugees got erased. She was "cured" by Beth von Zemo using Heinrich's restoration formula. She left Paradopolis because the Baroness simultaneously programmed her to assassinate Mumphrey and after the whole Zemo-rules-the-world bit Bethany couldn't take it any more.

Thereafter, we recently learned, the Baroness maliciously cancelled the effects of the restoration formula, returning Beth Shellett to the condition she'd been in after the mainframe explosion. Only intervention by Amnesia and the Hooded Hood has kept Beth's comatose self alive this long.

But more on this next segment anyway.

Hmmmm... Well at least Lo Chi is being helpful with the exposition. Her people really like to play the situation to their advantage, don't they? Here's hoping Jay keeps his head.

Jarvis liked to write the Nebulus as sneaky and manipulative, and Lo-Chi as the most sneaky and manipulative.

Meanwhile, Hatty isn't big on either being manipulative or being manipulated.

    Great start!

I'm pleased that I've actually finished this story this afternoon, even the footnotes.
