Marvel's Citizen V tended to fly on a V-shaped surfboard thing. I'm assuming that Citizen Z has a Z-shaped surfboard thing. It also has to have some size-changing particles associated with it so it can be packed away in her gear when not required. The same's true of CZ's battle-stave, although Sally has suggested a different theory.
