No, but if two heroes are patrolling that's doubled the chances that they'll find a crime, prevent a disaster, save a life.

That depends on whether they were both planning to be patrolling. Lara *does* know how to take time off. If she has nothing better to do, she could fill in for Hatman and they could trade for the night (she could do his job, and he could take time off).

I'm not sure where the heroes accidentally killing stuff comes in. I was suggesting that Hatman might feel guilty if someone dies that he might have saved if he wasn't off enjoying downtime.

I was talking about worst case "if only I'd been here this wouldn't have happened" situation.

Think of the dilemma a Red Cross doctor might feel in a plague-stricken war zone. He needs to sleep, to eat, to get some downtime, but there's hundreds of people needing his attention, some of whom will die if they don't get it. In that crisis, every minute stolen from work may cost lives. It's a terrible trade-off to decide where to stop saving lives and take even a bathroom break.

As Lara would put it, if she were trying to convince Hatty to take a night off - if you burn out because of it, you won't be any good to anyone. She may just be an authority on burning out because burnout from too much public attention and pressure caused her to lose her temper and kill someone long ago. Now she knows that time off is very important.

P.S. Hat losing his temper and blaming Lara or anyone else for a death would probably result in Yuki Shiro cornering Hatty and letting loose with lots of volume.

I don't think Jay would be that unprofessional. He'd only chew someone out if they'd been negligent.

I think the blaming might more be a function of "I never should have let you convince me" kind of stuff.
