Previous Post Folks are encouraged to take a free look at the latest edition of Planetary Stories online today. This edition of the SF pulp magazine features a story by I.A. Watson (i.e. me) called Loss Adjustment. I decided there just weren't enough SF insurance company stories out there. Somewhere in there under the link labelled "Pulp Spirit" is an essay On Heroes, also by me. You'll note that there's an option at the bottom of each page to offer some e-comment. Feel free to leave a remark. But then post it here too, because I'm not actually sure what happens to those comments when you've made them. HH

I tried to reply there, but apparently you write a comment in a tiny little box, and then it tries to open your e-mail account and send it somewhere. I think. I figured I'd just post here instead, as I know what's happening when I post here. Sort of.

Anyway, I enjoyed the story. The ending was very enigmatic... I'm kind of curious as to why the woman wanted Jed, what happened to Mr. Caplin's truck, who's blood it was, and what Marylyn Monroe, Lana Turner and Debbie Reynolds combined would look like. Some of these questions are more pressing than others in my mind.

Either way, it was a fun, playful tale!
