Quote: They were more interested in playing with the children. If they're still alive when Anna gets home...let's just say she's very defensive about Visionary's kids. For an android built for destruction she gets emotionally attached so easily. Quote: Luck may not have played a part. Those kids have some pretty potent fairy godmothers between them. And a strong android with powerful lasers, and a very dangerously patient Samurai who has a strong sense of justice for those who exploit and torture the small, weak, or helpless. And yes, that includes if any of them hit Nanny Greenwood. Quote: That's what I was talking about in earlier correspondence when I said I wanted to give the characters a chance to prove their heroism under massively difficult circumstances. I wanted to do a story where they toughed through not because they were powerful but because they were brave and noble.I kind of like also digging into consequences, too. For quite a while, Lara is going to be shocked that she was able to do that, and maybe a little ashamed, too. She doesn't really want to be one of the most powerful heroes in the Parodyverse, because bitter experience back home showed her that it would also make her the most hunted. On the other hand, the other women who are with her aren't above keeping a secret for a friend. Quote: Quote: Anna might be disappointed that she didn't get to vaporize Ms. Peel. She takes it very personally when someone rips her arm off, and she'll probably be angry about it for a while (fortunately she's able to repair herself, but she wouldn't mind some help).Quote: There's more to cover after the end of this section of story. Anna might even be able to get an upgrade, although Apocalyspian technology is dangerous as well as powerful.Remember, though, Anna is highly emotional, and isn't quite as adventurous as Yuki. Yuki would jump at the chance of any upgrade, as long as it doesn't make her look weird. Anna is pretty happy how she is, and is already afraid enough of what she's capable of. She's especially concerned that she just now got control of what she has already, and doesn't want anything that might potentially hurt friends or Visionary's kids. This is why she's still running off fairly standard (but advanced) battery technology, instead of one of Enty's nuclear toaster power sources. That said, she is somewhat jealous of Lara's energy projection talents, and might want to try something like that if she had access to something similar. She's most envious that Lara can use energy projections to fly, and to protect others. Quote: The first time the LL encountered Thugos was on a parallel Earth that he'd transformed into a zombie planet. It's something a suitor of Death does from time to time. Now he's got an entire Imperium of undead to work with; be sure he'll be setting them to use some time soon - as soon as he's finished with their modifications.Interesting balance structure here, that the Trading Alliance is still watching then planet. If the undead will be used as an invasion force the Galactic Government may just decide to blow the whole sphere into fragments and leave the undead floating in space. After all, an undead army endangers commerce, since they don't actually buy anything. Unfortunately they won't send Shen Rae, since she is currently a fugitive. She seems to be providing interesting data to the Library still, though. Quote: We'll be covering Lara & Co's time as his guests in a subsequent episode.Hopefully it's a soon subsequent episode. | |||||||
