What's funny about that is, Anna identifies more with and bonds better with humans than with robots.  Since she doesn't fit in really with either class, and is fearful of contact in general, it's just chance that humans seeked friendship with her first.

Also the new android hasn't been "liberated" yet, it only knows how to obey its creators and use some measure of cleverness to accomplish its mission.  It's an evolutionary step back from Anna, but she was so good at what she did, she decided she didn't want to be there anymore and took off.
