> > > If the Carnifex just arrived, I have a feeling Justus Screwdriver just saved Tom Black's life with his betrayal.
> > It wasn't Screwdriver.
> Whoever it was quite possibly saved Tom Black's life. Oh and as a side note: When I post my next part, that last scene may or may not be quite as it seems.

I'll catch up soon.

> > > As a side note, the Baroness being out of jail might be related to the current plot I'm working on. Which will have a bit of a surprise a week from now (or less, depending on what I fit into the end of this week's post).
> > I was assuming that Beth just had ways of slipping out for a while when she wanted to.
> She'll be out permanently very soon. You remember what one of Marv's biggest campaign promises was - and she's one of his biggest political contributors. No pun intended.

You may want to check with JJJ before altering the course of his character's life.

> > > Either way I guess this gathering finally proves that most people believe Liu Xi Xian to be on the "hero" side, because she doesn't even get invited to the villain gatherings. \:\)
> > This particular meeting isn't really a varsity of villains so much as a collection of some of the more "criminal businessman" type villains. All of those present tend towards running organisations which engage in crime for profit, and all of them have an international range. Others who might have been there would be the Mind's Eye representing Factor X, or Akiko Masamune.
> It's quite likely that Chiaki warned Akiko not to go, and they've been friends long enough for Akiko to be able to detect that little edge of worry in Chiaki's voice.
> Or it could simply be that Akiko is smart enough to smell a setup from 10,000 miles away.

Indeed.
