> > For example, Anvil Man, Brendan McGillicuddy, is a career mercenary who happened to get permanently sealed into an indestructible suit of armour. He's a fairly ordinary working joe in many ways, and unless someone was paying him to kill Chiaki he'd happily sit down with her and share a brew or talk over the baseball scores. In fact he'd respect her for her professionalism working for Akiko and be happy to shoot the breeze.

> She has done things like that before. Actually I guess she pretty much does that every time she visits Akiko.

Anvil Man's not really in Akiko's league either intellectually or in terms of interpersonal interaction. However, he's very much A-ist when it comes to supervillain powerhouses. He's top-end muscle, but he's not big on grudges of malice. He and Chiaki would have very different worldviews to explore. Any meditation technique she could teach him to cope with itches under his armour that he never gets to scratch would be most welcome.

> > There's no reason Paradopolis shouldn't get a new mayor. I just think we'd be better off with a new character, for the same reasons I introduced velma Klein over in GMY.
> I didn't know how long Klein was there. I do, however, know that creating a new mayor requires a whole new background and such. That's what I was trying to avoid doing, since I don't have any ideas floating around. \:\)
> > > Originally I thought of Marvellous Marv, but he'd probably just get killed again or disappear before the election. Other than that I'm out of ideas at the moment. I'm not sure about coming up with something new, because then I'd have to go to the trouble of establishing who it is first. Nobody comes out of nowhere and wins an election.

I'm warming to the Marv idea; and a psychic and hypnotist could do an awful lot of election blackmail and vote rigging.
