Subj: I'm glad it met your requirements. It's never going to be one of my favourites.Posted: Sun Sep 21, 2008 at 09:02:34 am EDT
| Reply Subj: That actually may be one of my favorite big finishes... and you've done a lot of them. Posted: Sat Sep 20, 2008 at 08:08:32 pm EDT (Viewed 630 times) |
> Excellent job with the anniversary feel of the big finish... I really loved the use of the dead Legionnaires, in the best Immortus fashion. But the solution to the problem was just a great, rousing moment... and I was really thrilled to picture that entire line-up working together to beat the Scholar to a pulp.

I did enjoy that bit, although I was a little afraid of going into too much loving fan-minutiae detail of close to fifty characters whaling on the villain.
> I also quite liked Visionary's role in this chapter, going to help FA. I've always been fond of her character, and it was a really sweet moment to see her realize her full potential.
|
I didn't want to end up with another Vizh-Kerry moment, and the FA thing seemed overdue.
> I thought the use of Asil was quite clever as well, from the team up involved to the peanut gallery while she did her thing. Liu Xi's big finish was also a great mental image, as she surpassed her grandfather. The ongoing theme of the young women stepping up and becoming such powerful figures, Asil, Kerry, Liu Xi, F.A... I quite enjoyed it. Saving the future indeed.

I'd have expanded that out to the whole future generations. Vinnie, Salieri, and especially Danny also had their moments in this series. And then there was Mags & Co.
> The epilogues at the end just set the perfect tone to finish up on... all of them looking towards the future and laying to rest some of the demons of the past.

That was part of the idea. Another chapter end/watch this space.
> Stellar job on this, and easily one of my favorite wrap ups.

Glad you liked it. My view of it is perhaps coloured by how hard it came to write.
