That's why I jokingly say that if the Psychic Samurai would have the opportunity to take over the universe, she would be remarkably good at it. She always tries to stay two steps ahead, and not underestimate opponents. Of course she also lacks that kind of power, and even if she had it, she wouldn't want to violate what she believes is a natural balance. The only exception might be something like the Moderator Saga, but she wouldn't want to stay in charge for long.
Well she could have simply been a huge pain to deal with and a total jerk to the Void Scholar as soon as she suspected something was wrong. But by now she's learned all that will do is cause her to end up locked up somewhere unable to do anything, waiting for rescue. She's starting to learn that her best chance is to rescue herself, and to do that, she has to start to take advice that Chiaki has likely given repeatedly: Never let your enemy see your true power too early. So she's understanding that her best chance is to appear cooperative and meek until the right opportunity. Also note that's what would make Chiaki so difficult to put in prison. She would be a model prisoner, earning herself greater and greater access and trust, until one morning she's no longer in her cell. And then the warden and staff kick themselves for not realizing she was quietly planning and gathering necessary materials all along. Of course actually arresting her wouldn't be too easy, either - she would probably find a way to disappear from police custody. The how is quite simple. Most people don't pay attention to very small windows of opportunity, or hesitate when presented one. If you're being interviewed, and the interview isn't going well, there is probably at least one opportunity when the interviewer leaves the room, or you can request a restroom break, and simply not come back. Most people hesitate at that chance, but Chiaki wouldn't - she would be absolutely sure of it.
In that case, is it up to Visionary? If I would tie that in I'd have to have some clue of how Danny might feel. Kerry is less necessary, because it would deal with Liu Xi deciding what to do about this dillemma.
Yuki knows that, which is why that's what she would try first.
The funny thing is, that's something Lara would have understood if someone only told her. She's pretty good with understanding very large scale plans. And she can even explain it to Danny if she has to. Though at that point it's starting to look like Faite's job. | |||||||
