> > You're right. That would certainly do the trick. Now if they can only find a giant stationer's shop in time.
> There are novelty paper clips that are pretty big. Pens, too.

You'd need one roughly the size of New York State.

If he rounds them up and has them executed, he might seem unnecessarily cruel (though some might sympathize over the near murder of Ohanna). But if he leaves them alone, he might look weak and have even more rebellions because the first one was so close.
> > He's really trying to polarise people to be for him or against him, forcing confrontation now to avoid covert opposition later.
> That could be worse if it causes a war or something. Many people may die, and he would take the blame for causing it. Such is the life of a political leader.

Right now, when he's surfing on the whole "liberator of Caph" thing, would be the time to address any issues requiring direct action. The attack on himself and Ohanna gives Vaahir the excuse to do what Vaahir does best.

> > > By the way, that lightning-fast cut-down attack sounds like something that Chiaki would be proud of, whether it's her lesson or not.
> She might say that Kiivan has great potential. Of course she has to be careful because a Caphan might take a compliment differently from a female than an Earth human might.

By anybody's standards Kiivan has potential.
