Subj: I can't say I disagree with any of the choices you guys came up with. Nice job!

I found the "Shrek" films fun, but I didn't really go crazy over them... and everything else they've done I've more or less forgotten about. But I don't think there's any particular reason to expect that streak to continue, so I don't write off all future efforts.

> Good point. The problem with a lot of the Purveyors is that they're only there in group bad-guy situations, which makes defining their personalities (and identifying actors to play them) difficult.

> Hopefully the Rachel Dawes (or whatever her name was) role is better written in the sequel. While Katie Holmes didn't bring all that much to it in the first flick, it was a pretty thankless part which mostly had to do with playing holier-than-thou through the movie. It falls into that old hazard for girlfriends not in on the secret identity... there's no good way to keep them sympathetic when they don't know what the hero is going through.

> Ah... an excellent choice. Yes, I'm not sure about the more screwball parts of the role, but I was also looking for someone who wasn't rail-thin, could play aristocratic, mean and devious.
