She may start to feel like this whole confrontation is engineered to get all the powerful hero-types out in the open and in one place so someone, perhaps the Baroness, can eliminate them all at the same time. Because whoever does that becomes the dominant force on Earth. She'd be reluctant to allow herself to fall into that trap, but she'd also feel compelled to keep an eye on matters there.

> As for the Psychic Samurai (who's going to sort of let something slip in my next post), she knows very well that she has no super-powers and wouldn't stand much of a chance in a free-for-all brawl between super-heroes. She may realize the same thing as Lara - partly because they can actually discuss it now - except instead of keeping an eye on the battlefield, Chiaki would be on the prowl for the person pulling the strings.
