> Yeah, I guessed you were cleaning house with the Shee-Yar. It's perhaps a testament to Scott that so much of his mythology was sustained by his energy alone.

It was when I did the Who's Who that I realised I had actually written about 80% of their dialogue ever. After that it became evident that they probably weren't going to be major losses.

And if they are, someone can bring 'em back!

> Unexpected DupliKate! She's a fun supporting character, and she works well with Jason's girls in that regard.

She's a good non-hero example of a metahuman, and she perfectly fits the woman-in-peril cliche that is shorthand for "these are villains that need kicking". I'll have to find non WIP things to do with Kate to make up for it.

> Kerry shouldn't be so quick to dismiss hit-and-run attacks. It is easier to make ungovernable than it is to govern, so from that standpoint, the Juniors actually have an advantage.

But it's not really to Kerry's temperament. She likes to let people know when she's there and when she's pissed.

> A nice change of pace, to see the Middle East presumed to be the seat of planetary power by invading aliens. And as Jay said, I dislike the Carnifex as much as I dislike the Sentry, so that meta-commentary is working.

Jerusalem is important to three world religions, arguably three of the big four.

As for the Carnifex, how could you dislike him so much when the author is telling you how great he is? You fans don't realise how much you actually love him. That's because you are all whiner losers living in your mom's basement and have never had a date.

> The Void Scholar is a prick. And unexpected Wyrmfood!

The Void Scholar's true nature will doubtless be revealed. We already know Wyrmfood's true nature.

> Good to see Silver Aegis fighting. And Hansel and Greta really need to have a creepier relationship, to live up to their Marvel Universe inspirations.

I'll leave that to somebody else to establish.

> Unexpected Jingo Belle! Nice to see another of my characters, doing what I created her to do.

I needed a spokesperson and she fitted the role like she fitsw the spandex.

> Brian came up with all the Nu Lair Legionnaires? It's almost too bad they were destined to die.

I'll be establishing in #14 why the U.S. can't just zap some more people with LL powers to replace them.

> Legions of Legions! Weird that the Nu Lair Legionnaires all seem to have no personally verifiable pasts.

Strange that, yes. And they have the same personal names as the previous two FMRC A-Teams that died as well.

> Yeah, Meng strikes me as a guy to hold a grudge. And I caught the War Games reference.

I think that's my casting choice, right there.

> Alcheman versus Suicide Blonde was a natural match-up, given their powers.

I thought so.

> I approve of the revised PAPG! scene. \:\)

Good.

> Chiaki needs to work on her interpersonal skills, although it does give her a Batman vibe. And I suspect Pod People of some sort being involved in the returned abductees.

Noted.

> Greg's female reporter works better in the Nu Lair Legion scenes than Josie did. She's a much darker character to begin with.

I'd been meaning to get back to her sometime, but Josie was ahead of her in the queue by virtue of appearing in a bit of this round robin already. This way though I can cut out the "Josie redemption" subplot and get on with the main action.

> Citizen Z still has me guessing, but I'm horrible with mysteries.

Okay.

> And I can't help thinking that Orankle's suicide will somehow cause the Carnifex problems.

That would be the dramatically effective way to go.
