I was thinking of the surrender of Axis forces in Nazi-occupied countries at the end of WW2. There were really only three options:
1. Kill them all
2. Imprison them, incurring expense and ongoing commitment to security
3. Let them go home

Hence the war crimes trials for those who had been instigators or who coulod be proved to have committed criminal acts outside the codes of the Geneva convention, and the return to their families of hundreds of thousands of ordinary conscripted soldiers to become normal everyday citizens.

I thought the genocide option would both cast a pall on the Caphan culture and echo too closely the convenient disposal of the Avawarriors at the end of the Parody War.

> Pel gave off a very strong Starbuck vibe in this one.

Maybe she's got the same mythical qualities too.

> So, everyone has drunk their drinks, and the prophecy has been heard, but barely in enough time for it to qualify as a "prophecy." I'm stumped as to solutions to this one, either. \:\)

Everyone's drunk their first drink, but the poison comes in two seperate doses before it takes effect.

As for poor demon-possessed Vespiir, she's clearly just summoned Galactivac to destroy the planet.
