I was almost tempted to write the ballad, just to see how it turned out.

I felt they deserved their moment of happiness. I'm not entirely without kind feelings. We want readers to be pulling for these two lovers.

It's unusual for us to be able to show a planned arc that takes characters through such a long set of changes. Kerry and FA are fer more spontaneous in their developments, for example.
