That was the idea behind setting this up, yes.

We haven't yet covered what's to happen to the other Thonngarain captives and escapees.

As I recall, we established that there were about 50,000 surviving Thonnagarians on Caph. If we didn't establish it it was there in my head. If only 5% survive they're still above your breeding numbers, without having to resort to advanced genetic techniques which are probably available to a space-faring society.

Of course, the Caphans may have a different view about the ideal numbers of a Thonnagarian race.
