> > If there's no family link the Scholar would still be interested in Liu Xi. She may have a new adversary.
> Liu Xi wouldn't even be aware of that, since as far as she knows she's the only one with the talent to mess with Void. Her family, though, had no such talents, so a direct link might be a long shot unless it skips a few generations.

But she#s usually referred to as AN elementalist, not THE elementalist, and people in the know tend to classify her by that description, so others must have been heard of at some time.

She so needs an origin.

> > The other question is how did she [Lara] feel about the tough choice she had to make - blow up a city to save a world.

> Lara is unusual there, in that she's not afraid to make choices like that. She's not happy she had to, but given what has been happening up to that point she was probably fully prepared for it. The fact that she waited until the last minute says a lot about her self control. More on that in a tie-in, perhaps.

Splendid.

> And additional comments:

> I wonder if the Carnifax is going to resort to more dangerous measures now that his plan was accidentally thwarted by Al B Harper.

The Carnifex's plan wasn't thwarted. He got everything he'd hoped for out of his game. He never wanted the Moderator to win, although he could have worked with it if that had been the outcome.

From his point of view the whole thing was the cosmic equivalent of Spike sending a couple of vampires to fight Buffy and get dusted so he could assess how to beat the Slayer later.>/font>

> I'm not sure if Danny is alive or dead at this point. I suspect the Hooded Hood may have taken advantage and returned though.

The regular, "real" Danny wasn't in this story at all, and neither was the "real" Kerry.

I'm not sure where in continuity this story takes place relative to Untold Tales , but I suspect it'll happen after the next UT arc where Vizh, Glory, Kerry, and Danny go to Caph to retrieve the missing Juniors. That storyline's been referenced as happening while the Phantom Elevator stuff was going on (and the Compound plot), and all of that probably happened after the current Deadeyes material.

So that means that Epitome disappearing and all the fallout from what people might remember of the Moderator Saga comes after evertyhing else I've posted so far.
