At least someone had a good day then.
We'll perhaps visit this again another time, but for now... Since this was a round robin, and there's a tradition in PV round robins that Wang the Conquerer a.k.a. Kink the Conquerer shows up somewhere in them, I felt this might be a good time to debut his ultimate incarnation as the master of comic-book limbo, the Void Scholar. I see the scholar as a whole lot smarter and more devious than Wang, who mostly got played for comedy. Towards the end though Wang fell in love, founded a city, even had kids (one of whom was Kinki, mother of Al's twins). He was evolving, and vanishing into comic-book limbo at the end of his last appearance seemed like the next step. If there is a link between the Scholar and Liu Xi then it could well be a family one. As a time manipulator, the Scholar could be anything from Liu Xi's grandfather to family founder twenty centuries ago. Why he would want to breed a line that would eventually bring forth a full-blown elementalist is another question. If there's no family link the Scholar would still be interested in Liu Xi. She may have a new adversary.
That's a scene we need on record.
The other question is how did she feel about the tough choice she had to make - blow up a city to save a world.
She thinks not. It's not in her plan.
