> An excellent collection of scenes which whittles down the players with brutal efficiency (and quite a bit of entertainment.)
I really had to be efficient, because otherwise there's no way to land this fish. This wasn't an easy chapter to do. Rhiannon has to speak to me quite firmly about it.
> You know how you accused me of really thinking through the whole Denial = Moderator bit? Well, the fact that Shaper is his mother completely slipped my mind, showing how well thought out it really was.
Mine too. Rhiannon pointed it out. She and Samantha can be quite scary.
> Quite the gamble that Flapjack took going to face her... Looks like it didn't pay off. Still, it was worth a good comedic funeral scene, and we could all use more of those in life, I'm sure.
Would it help to know that Flapjack will be in the finale?
> Salieri's reaction to things remains unclear... He *is* the seventh smartest boy in the world, however, and if others can travel and exist beyond the dimension/timeline they originate from, then perhaps he can find a way to exist outside of the changes as well. I'm sure Sam would love to have him haunt her the way that she originally haunted him. Who doesn't want that kind of running commentary on their life?
Salieri will also be in the finale. We can correspond about what I think he's going to do if it helps with your chapter. Alternatively, you could just have Salieri run off into the anomalies and Sam chase after him and leave Vizh and Brap told hold off the enemy.
> Considering that I'll get Fleabot back if we're successful, I suppose I'm not one to talk...
Heh.
> Quite the surprise with the reveal of Baroness Muffy B. Harplicker Dewdrop Ven-Zemo there. I'll see if I can't have some fun with that one in a tie in.
I thought it was the missing element in the whole crazy situation. After all, otherwise the interactions would be mundane and pedestrian.
> I'll be curious to see how Shrike handles the Dominator after this chapter... As of this moment, we don't know for sure if he's our Dominic or, like Doorman, a different one. He's the only current Legionnaire that's still on the Moderator's side, and he's being really ruthless about it. Not that Fleabot is doing much better, mind you... but pulping CSFB's mom could make for some awkward moments around the breakfast table.
I suspect by now that we're dealing with an alternate reality Dom. Certainly the view his writers have taken is that he's a brutal, ruthless bastard. the Meg situation was Kirk's idea, by the way.
> Good set ups, and I look forward to the tie ins and the big finale!
The tie-ins should be fun. I can't say I'm relishing the idea of bringing this home but it deserves to be done. It's playing havok with my other writing schedules, though.
