Though I have to admit, I was always more of a Ginger fan. Maybe because she's a redhead and I'm shallow.

A very nicely done story telling the first encounter between Vizh and Hallie. I quite liked the bit where Vizh turned the AI's acronym into something more real, plus him giving us the name's meaning (though I have to question the validity of any story that involves a sixth grader daring a boy to eat a bug. Most kids move beyond that by that age. Then again, given what we know, Visionary might have been in remiedials).

I also enjoyed the setting of the stage for the entire "what it means to be human" argument that's so important in Hallie's stories. It certainly makes sense for it to be Vizh to bring it up, and shows one of the reasons why she's so fond of him. Besides his suave demeanor around the ladies, that is.

A guy I know swallowed a frog in 8th or 9th grade for 5 bucks and some pixie sticks, so I didn't find a 6th grader eating a bug far fetched at all.
