Now see, I was under the (perhaps mistaken) impression that during the Parody War at least, Sgt. MacHarridan had a security *team* of Scottish Detonator Hippos. Hence, multiple references in the story to hippos plural. "Dougal" was only supposed to be the hippo on duty at the front door, not Sgt. MacHarridan himself.

So I guess the question is, did any of the other detonator hippos work security at Lair Island during the war, and if so are they still there? In hindsight, I can see how it would be better if it's just MacHarridan himself... although we could easily say he's the only one who stayed on past the end of the war.
