> > By the way, did you see FF: The End, by Stan Lee and John Romita? Old school and fun. It was just great to see Stan writing the FF again, especially the Thing. He also managed to cameo almost every one of the Marvel heroes he wrote pre-1969.
> I have to say, I haven't really enjoyed anything Stan's written of late. I picked up the trade of "Stan Lee Meets..." and really I wasn't overjoyed I'd made the purchase (fortunately it was fairly cheap, which was why I picked it up). Off the top of my head the last thing I enjoyed by Stan was his Spider-Man/Daredevil one-shot a few years back, but I think Jazzy Johnny's pencils had a lot to do with that.

Stan's written a few stinkers in his time, including perhaps my least favourite Avengers special edition ever, "Heroes and Legends", supposedly set around Avengers#14, in which both Stan and his editor forgot that Iron Man and Giant Man didn't know each other's secret IDs and that Magneto was imprisoned on the Stranger's planet amongst other things.

> You're actually the first person I've heard compliment Stan's latest FF story. And isn't it The Last Fantastic Four Story, not FF: The End. FF: The End was done by Alan Davis.

It probably is. I enjoyed it because it was hokey old-time fun. It read very much like Stan's original run.
