I consider the Hamster world to be a more or less direct translation of the normal PV but everyone is a Hamster: so since Little Cat is a pet here, He's most likely a pet there, too.

It's all about upbringing. I'll touch on Catherine's upbringing with another, less evil Universe.
Sidenote: This is the second time Catherine's grandfather has been brought up. He was seen in a Family Portrait hanging up in Catherine's Apartment.
