> Allow me to a bit self-involved for a moment, but did you just casually reintroduce Nyarlurkhotep? The swallow-my-soul, explode-my-heart, eat-up-a-years-worth-of-plots guy? Seems kind of big. I know you're tying up some loose ends, but I was really hoping that my continuing existence wasn't one of them...

Well, we were discussing new candidates for LL membership.
> With my impending horrible death out of the way, let's move on to this Harry fellow. As I see it, there are two possibilities. One: he's up to no good. Two: Dancer's powers haven't left her at all, only her conscious control over them, and so now she's getting all the good stuff that she would never bring herself to use her powers to get.
There's also a third possibility: that all this time Dancer's own self-doubt has been subconsciously influencing her probability powers to prevent her from becoming a success.
> Some might argue for a more innocent explanation, but then Harry's not sleeping with their sister.
It seems strange that everybody's so het up over the guy who treats Shep half-decently.
> In any event, I quite enjoyed the implications of the Dancer resemblance, and I greatly look forward to finally seeing "Lair Legion: The Musical!" realized.
Dancer's not got the part yet.
> The mystery at Black's Crossing is pretty chilling, especially in light of Whitney's obvious unease. I'm not quite sure what's going on, or who sent those letters... I'm guessing the letters the mailman delivered are the real deal from Xander, while the ones that drew them there were fakes? Hard to say. Still, some nasty messages being directed at the three mystic women.
A number of very major baddies crept into this chapter while I wasn't really paying attention.
> A good showdown at the prisoner exchange. I almost feel sorry for the prisoners. And I quite enjoyed the verbal sparring between the three recent leaders of the LL as well. Where *did* that dreadnaught run off to, I wonder?
That's one plot we'll leave for another day.
> Chiaki has a new mission, courtesy of Champagne, and it seems like a good fit. Getting paid to protect orphanages has to be a primo job for someone like her... like getting paid to pet a kitten or something. Only with a lot more swordplay, I'd imagine.
Yes. I'm not yet decided whether to show Chiaki acting on that in this chapter or just to leave it for people to anticipate.
> Good to see Lee playing hardball with the IOL. I'm not sure what might become of it, but they were definitely due for a shake-up.
Indeed.
> Very much looking forward to the next part! Now... let's see someone pound on Mr. Flay and Mr. Skinner... And maybe rescue me as well. That'd be good.
That's always a possibility, of course. Next segment features an Ausgardian contingent.
