In case anyone here hasn't heard (and yet would still care), it seems that Paul Bettany has been cast to play the Vision in "Avengers: Age of Ultron". I like the casting, myself... It certainly raises the question of exactly how Vizh will relate to Jarvis, of course (seeing as Bettany has been voicing the A.I. verion of Jarvis since the first Iron Man film.)

I think it could very well suggest that Joss Whedon is keeping with comic history by having Ultron cobble together the Vision out of various existing bits of technology. I could see the film version being an artificial body with the Jarvis A.I. programming... although I hope there's more to him to keep him from just being a physical Jarvis. Hell, I could still see them throwing Coulson's brain patterns in there, as well. (Those following "Agents of SHIELD" have seen Coulson with is head cracked open and machines poking around in there, after all.)

Of course, they're obviously deviating pretty widely in how they approach things in the Cinematic Universe, judging by Michael Douglas playing Ant-Man at 70 or so, and not having him even in the Age of Ultron flick (supposedly.)



Going back to "Agents of SHIELD", the show seems to be picking up some real steam. I have to admit, Deathlok was not the first character I imagined them using, but I do like the way they've gone about it. Of course, I haven't read a lot of Deathlok in comics, so I really couldn't say how or what they might be doing wrong. The big mystery is which identifiable baddie will turn out to be the identity of "the Clairvoyant"... I've heard a few good theories. I've also heard some good theories on where they're going with Skye... It should be a good second half of the season.
