Aha... finally an untangling of the Celestial Messiah stuff. I have to admit, I wouldn't have guessed that particular family tree unfolding (someone needs to make a genealogical chart of the PV sometime, althoughI recall that just Al B's branch of it was pretty crazy...) It was good to see Beth and Laurie get to interact for a change, even as we reviewed the horrible, horrible things you've done to them. Siccing spectral beavers on them seems tame by comparison. It was good to see that Laurie is a much stronger character today though. Hopefully she can be reunited with her grandchild if not her daughter... Speaking of which, I have a guess at the Messiah's identity which I hope is true... it'd be fun to see that character brought into more direct involvement in the main PV craziness. Quote: I hadn't realised it was a device I use that much, but thinking about it you are probably right.I personally don't think that it's a device that grows old. It's not like a "Sixth Sense" kind of twist, but rather a bit of misdirection that keeps you guessing the path to victory. Quote: It is requiring a good deal of mental shelf space, which is one reason I was reluctant to try and pick it all up again after a hiatus. I suspect I just wouldn't.I can believe that. My stories aren't nearly as narratively dense, and I find it hard to remember where I was going and getting back into the proper mindset for them when they've been left for even a little while. | |||||||
