Wow, they're dropping like flies now! I would say that I didn't see that coming, and it would be true of the first time I read it. I picked up on Knifey's identity before it was spelled out a few beats later. A rather extreme gambit... we'll see how it plays out!

Well, Akiko Masamune is not known for playing other people's games.

It was fun hearing a quick rundown of the craziness that has beset the Mythlands group in the time they've been there... some opportunities for entertaining tie-instead should the time to write themmactually arise. As I noted, it's fun to think about the crazy mix of genres that must be happening there. All of the anime stuff that Akiko brought with MangaTown is now mystical stuff, correct?

Yep. There's a story-rich environment available and doubtless the cast will all be off doing stuff whether they tell us about it or not.

On a minor editing note, the introduction of Boss Deadeye's delegation seems to get confused as to whether it's Kauffman or Levi that's come.

Ack! Yes, it's Levi the accountant who is present. 'E-Razor' Kauffman, being entirely mortal, is tending to the shop back home.

It occured to me that I have never really written a Silicone Sally-centric story before (except possibly the scenes where she joins the LL). This gave me an opportunity to redress the balance.

She's an entertaining lead, especially for a designed henchperson!

And the LL always needs a designated hedonist. I think it's in their charter.

I'd have been happy to go into that a bit more had time and word-count allowed. If I'd been doing this run of stories back in the day I would probably have extended each short story to a full-length Untold Tale and packed a lot more in. But since the present storyline will pan out to about 1.8 novels in length anyhow (120,000 words) I think I'd better maintain some discipline.

    Quote:
Man alive... churning out that many words is a discipline all to itself! And quite the Christmas treat.

I'm lucky in that I can write first drafts quickly, and usually I can do PV stuff quickest of all (except for concluding chapters).

On that note, may I wish a Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Likewise. May our days be merry and bright.
