Quote: Quote: I write most days. I'm just not used to "winging it" quite so much as this any more.Quote: Ha! Winging it is the only way I know!I deliberately didn't plot this run out in detail so I'd be surprised at what happened (as I often was back when I wrote Untold Tales regularly). I knew what the situation was going to be and I let the characters determine what happened after that. So I was quite surprised by a couple of plot twists in chapter five that I just had not seen coming! Those Juniors can creep up on you. I was as caught off guard by the cliffhanger as I hope the readers will be. Quote: Quote: It is definitely now embedded. Whether Kara is is really a poster call.Quote: I think Chronic would like to embed her...snort. Like I said, what happens next is a poster call. Quote: Quote: I was thinking about enrolling her and Cody at an interplanetary academy of learning if I ever get the time to intridcue it.Quote: Hmm, maybe. Cody might freak out though - he's an Earth boy through and through, but the prospect of new languages to learn may appeal enough for him to overcome that. Well, he did volunteer of that Order of the Observing Eye trip with Beanie and Fly-Girl that time. Quote: Quote: They may well have a larger available area for a parking lot now.Quote: Knowing universities there will be an internal squabble over what department gets the suddenly available space on campus and it will remain vacant for some time. Here speaks the voice of experience. Quote: Part 4:Quote: Also, enjoyed how Gaz stuck it to Grimpenghast and then showed real leadership with Vespiir! This demihemigod kid's got talent. Gaz feels like this problem is in bhis wheelhouse. He's happy to sit back and let life wash over him on the outer space trips and when villains want to fight, but when it gets theological he has to take it seriously. Quote: Not sure I understand why there is no fire in hell though - isn't that an oxymoron? Or is this the 'piss-weak' layer? Lol, someone should mention that to old Grimpy. Grimpenghast constructed this hell-dimension to a specification suitable for trapping Kerry; hence the lack of flammable items. It's her personal hell! And the decor theme is "cold, dark, and silent", which Dante would probably locate somewhere in Caina, the icy plain of the 9th and lowest tier of hell, a place reserved for traitors. Dante claimed that amongst the residents frozen face-down in the ice was Mordred, King Arthur's treasonous son. Grimpenghast, however, seems more likely to have tailored the place to match the late-night horror movies is young victims willhave seen. Quote: I'm also not sure what game Lucy deSoth is playing - it's kinda her fault two of her teammates are now dead(ish). You'd think the others would be a bit more peeved at the double-triple-cross. Lucy is looking for payback for all the times she's been disrespected by her older team-mates, before she goes and wipes out her annoying goody-goody big brother and everything he stands for. Quote: Looking forward to more. I have just one more chapter to write to finish this - once I work out how to get out of the end of chapter five. | |||||||
