... Since my last period of regular posting on the Parodyverse.
Work has been fruitful. I've stepped into the shoes of acting editor on a number of occasions now, and this past year our two papers won 13 state journalism awards, of which I was personally responsible for earning eight of them.
It's been a while since I've written about CrazySugarFreakBoy!, but I'm glad to see him still doing well under Ian's pen, and I wonder if spending some time apart might help me see him in clearer focus.
I've actually managed to incorporate the lessons of the Parodyverse into a new project, enlisting a few Facebook friends in a manner not unlike the old Parodyverse days to create a new shared universe.
It started, oddly enough, in the wake of the Ferguson riots, when I was pretty much done with humanity, and a friend posted a compilation video of cheesy one-season sci-fi TV shows from the 1980s.
I studied the video, and became convinced that I could create an archetypal failed '80s genre show out of all the tropes I saw in those intros, from the Moonlighting-style sexual tension between the leads to the gruff police detective who doesn't want any vigilantes in his city, dammit!
Our own Ham-Boy has been following this on Facebook, and even made a few contributions of his own to the mythos.
If anyone is interested, I could post about my cast of characters and their adventures, in a city that I've aspired to make as fully realized as Parodiopolis or Gotham, but in the meantime, I'll leave you with this cast pic from "Austin Kingsley: Star Prodigy."

...the AK:SP stuff on your Tumblr brings it all back. During its brief appearance in the UK it was billed simply as "Star Prodigy", presumably to avoid confusion with the disgraced Liberal politician Kingsley Austin. I'd be keen to see any other material you've been able to collect. Congratulations also on your awards.
