One of them is ROBIN HOOD: FREEDOM'S OUTLAW, the final part of the trilogy that also includes KING OF SHERWOOD and ARROW OF JUSTICE. I'm also committed to producing at least one, possibly two standalone Robin Hood short stories to promote this. A tie-in comic book story will also appear about the same time.
The second, which was due out on Monday but has been delayed at my request, is an SF adventure. The reason for the hiatus was my view that the book would really need some pre-publicity. Having kicked this around a bit the solution appears to be that I write another novel in the same series, split it into around 20 chapters, and post it three times a week online to get folks to buy the other one. So I'm rushing to produce 60,000 words by next Wednesday for that.
The Vinnie novel continues to proliferate with no logical end-point in sight. It shows unpleasant signs of becoming a multi-volume endeavour. With no publisher in mind - or even consulted - in neccessarily takes a back seat to things with deadlines.
However, I have actually completed a 95,000 word novel version of SIR MUMPHREY WILTON AND THE LOST CITY OF MYSTERY, translated from the Parodyversian into something more stand-alone, properly paced, and better written. I'll need to come back to that manuscript for a third draft when time allows and see how it reads when I've got some distance from it. I'm tempted to shop around for a UK-based publication for Mumph and Vinnie when time and energies allow.
