Reply Subj: I love a classic "heroes fight then team up" story, and they can be done in so many different ways...

A fun bit of history, and with Tanner who I'm quite fond of. Quite the lycanthropic curse on the man... Those "can't die" curses can be nasty. Vinnie was pretty confident for a guy with his throat nearly torn out, so a good showing by him. Too bad the cleansing of his brother didn't take beyond two years.

I'm sure more unpleasant things are due to happen to Styxus sometime soon.

These should be good books to read when you finish them!

It's very much a part-time project that keeps getting shelved as other things come along. For example, I broke of to write a 90,000 word SF novel to order in three frantic weeks (should be out in about three months), then got distracted writing a retelling of Cinderella from the Prince's POV.

I think next I'll be returning to a story I started about the Trojan princess Hesione. That, plus the Cinders tale, plus that story I did a couple of years back about The Flower Maiden should nicely fill out a volume of stories about Mythical Women. If there's space I might add a Lilith story as well.

I also came across the start of a pulp-style 1930s whodunnit I wrote a few years back and never developed. The protagonist, Molly Malone, a barmaid in the big dark city, is modelled on a certain Parodyverse waitress and fits remarkably well into the genre. If I can remember what the plot was supposed to be I might work that up sometime as well now I've found the piece again.

A lot depends on publishers. Airship 27 and Cornerstone who have published most of my stuff are backed up right now with things to put out. Somewhere in the queue is Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective vol 4, Robin Hood: Freedom's Champion, another novella and a short story for a different anthology. I'm holding off writing anything else for them until the backlog clears a bit. So what I actually write next depends on what one or more other publishers want me to do.
