Sorry for such a slow reply; have been doing the rounds of rellies up north. Not the Far North, just the ordinary kind.

“It was an unlucky draw,” grumbled Vicki Vee.

These villainesses can be so catty. I mean, what's a guy got to do to earn a little respect? Just because he's overlooked one tiny but very important detail and is due for an almighty beating by every hero in town. Sheesh.

    Quote:
Ã¢â‚¬Å“But I want to see my cards. So far I’ve opened about thirty-two of them and so far I haven’t really got a grasp on the continuity.”

Brilliant.

    Quote:
Ã¢â‚¬Å“Now we have the basic building blocks of civilisation. Wait there while I stitch these skins into a small native village and develop agriculture. Let me know if you see a killer whale.”

Really liked the development of Sniiqattaaq, particularly his earthy perspective on problem-solving. Not so much hands-on as in-up-to-the-elbows. It's totally in keeping with his office, and who likes to see a good reindeer go to waste?

    Quote:
“Who can shift time and stop it being today!” Vizh realised. “Yeah, that’s who we need. Dream, try and locate Sir Mumphrey Wilton!”

A side-note, in relation to Mumph's time-shifting: I've often thought there would be story mileage in visiting points in time that officially didn't exist - like those days “missing” in the move to Gregorian calendar. Was reminded of this just before New Year when Samoa cancelled Friday. Though this being the Parodyverse, it's probably been done...

Eagerly anticipating the next chapter.
