As for unexpected tie-ins, I meant that I could sort of think of who might be skipped over for this sealing-in-a-card thing, and who would be ideal to try and solve the mystery. Not because of their power, but because of their status, or lack thereof. Like the Psychic Samurai, who has no visibly apparent super-powers the Birthday Bandit would want to steal. Or someone who wasn't caught in the dragnet because they were at the wrong place at the right time.
