I've finally finished Ruby's World, the webcomic I started almost three years ago. I'll start a continuation series, Ruby Nation, shortly after my wedding in July. The new series deals with the characters forming their own super-soldier refugee nation, similar to Utopia in the modern X-Men except better thought-out.

The link is below; any feedback would be deeply appreciated.

First of all, congratulations on your (upcoming) marriage. I wish you all the best for your future.

As to the comic...

Well, first of all, well done! This was clearly a mammoth task, and to succeed must have taken a lot of effort.

Unfortunately, I couldn't really get in to it.

I read the first couple of chapters and the finale. I think you have all the basics there - The underlying ideas look good, the pacing seems OK (in the parts I read at any rate). The only problem I had was that I didn't like the artwork (and let's face it, conflicts in taste can happen with anybody).

I would make one suggestion: try puting the speech bubbles and lettering by hand, rather than just overlaying typed text in a computer-generated speech bubble. The biggest problem I had was the conflict between the artwork and the lettering - the artwork would have looked a lot better without the very precise effect of the speech bubbles and lettering.

Good luck with Ruby's World. Let me know when it is finished and I will give that a try as well.

Chris.

As is always the case with my writing, please feel free to comment. I welcome both positive and negative criticism of my work, although I cannot promise to enjoy the negative.
