Reply Subj: No, we're not making a statement in the debate on evolution. Yes, a monkey may be our pilot, but I'm sure God is his co-pilot, so it all evens out. No need for protests.

Well, maybe vegetarians and animal rights people would be upset about the vast amounts of meats being deployed in this story. Is it at least organically raised meat? There are a lot of potential public relations hazards with this job.

A question nobody has ever looked at too closely is where does ham-Boy's meat come from. Does he generate it... internally? From the meat dimension?

Enquiring minds want to know. Well, Al B. anyhow.

Of course, the actual hazards are pretty impressive too.

Rhiannon asked me if this counted as a Purveyors of Peril group. My view is not; this was just a few Purveyors alumni taking freelance gigs. A proper Purveyors attack would usually have field leadership such as VelcroVixen and a major archvillain sponsor, most dangerously the Hooded Hood. It would be much more dangerous.

I'll try and do a proper Purveyors episode sometime to illustrate what I mean.

A fun recruitment scene, with the heroes on the move through the gauntlet of super villains and savings. It was a nice job of showing how Fred is ready for the big leagues while illustrating his unusual powers to their fullest. I also enjoyed Vizh's role in the story as the mentor.

Each of these sections may read better when perused at one sitting, since together they're meant to illustrate the new team for cumulative effect.

One reason I'm sitting on the quite long sections of next issue that I've already written is to avoid such a sporadic scheduling of the next story.

A fun conclusion to a great chapter of character portraits! I'm really looking forward to seeing how everyone interrelates.

That's next issue; at least it puts all the newbies together to interract while the oldies \(\?\) get to have their individual adventures to make up for not getting spotlight this time.

It's going to be a long chapter.
