In Jet's mind he didn't think he was being that rude. The conversation was how Jet reacts to most people who aren't directly involved in his life/career. Jet did what he thought was the right thing when seeing a lower level super hero was on the scene: thank them their help, make some chit chat & then go off to attend to other things.

About Ham-Boy doing something that will get some attention: Keep an eye on him. He doesn't know it yet but big things are coming his way. Some bigger then others but a changes is a coming!
